Geketor
Ketorolac Tromethamine Tablets come with the branding “Geketor” and are members of a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID), and are indicated for the short-term control of moderate to severe acute postoperative pain. Pain is a symptom that appears in the nervous system, which evokes unpleasant bodily sensations.
In Ketorolac tromethamine tablets, the active drug is ketorolac tromethamine which works by blocking the synthesis of some chemical mediators namely the prostaglandins which are responsible for generating pain and inflammation. Hence, as a result, it offers pain relief.
Does this composition cause diarrhoea?
Diarhhea could be a side-effect of this medication. Drink at least enough water and take food without spices if you have diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if you have a very watery diarrhoea or you see blood in your stools.
Is it safe to take other painkiller medicines along with this tablet?
Patients should not use any other painkiller medicines along with this drug except those recommended because it might cause unacceptable side effects and might increase the risk of stomach bleeding linked to the NSAIDs.
Can I take this composition for longer durations?
It is generally recommended for a maximum of 5 days. It should not be used for longer periods. The physician prescribes an as small as possible dose for the shortest possible term. Do not take this tablet for a longer time than your doctor has prescribed. Do not take it for more extended time as it could harm the heart and stomach.
