Candeva-B contains Clotrimazole & Beclomethasone which help fight the symptoms of fungal infection including skin rash, irritation, redness, and scaling of the skin. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication that stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Betamethasone belongs to the class of corticosteroids, which block prostaglandin’s production. This combination of Clotrimazole & Beclomethasone Cream comes in the category of corticosteroid and antifungal cream. 

Clotrimazole & Beclomethasone Lotion is for external use, only applied on the skin. And if you have other skin infections and liver disease first inform the doctor. This lotion has side effects that usually do not require medical attention. It should be stored at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C.

Uses of Clotrimazole & Beclomethasone Lotion

This ointment is used in the treatment of various skin infections caused by allergic reactions, fungus, and yeast. If you are using this cream for a ‘jock itch’ be sure to dry the groin completely after bathing.

The dosage and length of treatment depend on the type of infection being treated. Ringworm or jock itch is usually treated for 2 weeks, and athlete’s foot is usually treated for 4 weeks. 

Can this lotion be used to cure a yeast infection?

No, skin cream or lotion that only contains betamethasone should never be used for a yeast infection because it does not kill the yeast and can make the infection worse.

What if you do not find a sign of relief within 2 weeks?

Inform your doctor if the treated skin area does not improve after 2 weeks of treatment. He may then prescribe you otherwise.
