PIROVA
Piroxicam Injection comes with the branding “PIROVA” and is used as an anti-inflammatory analgesic agent for such conditions as rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoarthritis, which presents symptoms like pains, inflammation, and stiffness. Osteoarthritis, again, is a joint disease that results when the two ends of the joints get in contact because of the destruction of a smooth layer known as the cartilage. Rheumatoid arthritis refers to an auto-immune disorder ( the body’s immune system attacks the body tissue) that causes joint pain and degeneration.
Piroxicam Injection contains ‘Piroxicam’ which helps prevent the action of specific chemicals in the body, called COX enzymes that generate another chemical called prostaglandins. There are substances referred to as prostaglandins that are synthesized at the site of the injury and lead to pain and inflammation. As the activity of the COX enzymes is inhibited, decreased production of prostaglandins occurs and in turn, evaluates mild to moderate pain and inflammation present at the site of the injury or damage.
